Who has never dreamt of being an astronaut? Well the Betabrand Space Jacket is here to let that dream live on. The jacket is designed by Steven Wheeler who drew his inspiration from EVA space suit and the exterior of the space shuttle, and wanted it to pay tribute to the legacy of American space flight. Not only is it a cool looking jacket that shows of your nerdiness, but it is also completely serviceable as a flight jacket for missions to the International Space Station, just in case you get called to duty.
The jacket features a white, non-woven Tyvek shell with Primaloft Sport insulation, and silvered nylon taffeta interior lining to help retain body heat. It also has elastic bindings around the cuffs and hood, and the patches are Velcro so you can personalize the jacket or throw on any of the included space agency patches. Pick it up at Betabrand’s website for $270.
