With the upcoming Superbowl XLVIII between the Broncos and the Seahawks, Nike unveiled there new Silver Speed Collection for the Superbowl. With over 13 new pieces of equipment from the weightless Nike Vapor Cleats to the letterman’s styled Nike Destroyer Jacket, this line from Nike is bound to get some love. While some things are more appealing than others in this line, it is still definitely a success. Aimed towards keeping players warm and somehow still staying practically weightless, Nike’s new line up is another big step forward for the company’s strive toward the superior athletic apparel brand.
Nike Vapor Carbon 2014 Elite Cleat: Super Bowl Edition
Inspired by the 40-Yard Dash Project, these shoes were designed using 3D printing to give the absolute best shoe possible for athletes. This cleat offers lightweight speed, technology, and grip to give the player the competitive edge over their competition, but then again if this shoe is so great, the competition probably has this same shoe.
Considering that the Super Bowl is going to be in a cold climate setting this year, Nike’s Hyperwarm line will probably be under most pads and helmets this february. With maximum protection against wind, rain, and snow, the Dri-fit technology will be keeping the players warm and dry.
Again, aimed toward warmth, these Super Bowl Edition gloves do just that. A fleece inner lining and a seamless Nike Hyperfused outer-shell keep your hand dry and warm while Nike’s Magnigrip material on the palms give the perfect amount of durability and grip in any condition.
With a huge emphasis on major football contact points (shoulders, hips, thighs, knees, ribs), the Pro Combat Hyperstrong is going to help reduce the pain when getting hit by Richard Sherman, but not his words. Along with the added padding, the dri-fit fabrication is going help keep you dry, while you cry after you lost the Super Bowl.
These new training shoes are anything really “new”, just a new set of colors slapped on the shoes. With a black, silver, and a touch of lime green, these Super Bowl Edition shoes are definitely a good addition to the Nike family, and the 5.0’s are definitely the coolest of the three (the middle two shoes of the six shown).
